ALLBRIGHT ACADEMY:
WORKSHOPS & KEYNOTES

WHEN THE BOSS IS ALWAYS CALLED THOMAS

Eye Opener Keynote, 60 to 90 minutes

Thomas is the most common name on the executive boards of German listed companies. Until recently, there were more Thomases and Michaels than women in total. Companies have been recruiting their board members following an almost unchanged pattern for decades, although the labor market has become much more diverse. Why is there this extreme homogeneity in top management? And why is it a problem? Are other countries ahead of Germany?

This keynote provides an overview of the situation of women in leadership positions in German companies. It provides facts and figures presented in an entertaining way, points out the most important obstacles and comes up with solutions: mechanisms that are central to a healthy culture and diversity in management.

FROM WHY TO HOW:
Gender Bias Basics

A Gender Bias Workshop for Leaders
2.5 to 4 hours

Our perception and expectations of men and women are not the same but are rather shaped by unconscious thought patterns (bias). This affects how we interact with each other, as well as the decisions and processes in the company.

This workshop is about what exactly biases are and how we can counter them in specific situations in our organization and in our team in order to ensure that the best and most talented are promoted fairly.

BINGO!
Tackling Clichés with Facts

Workshop, 2.5 hours

"There really aren't enough qualified women."

How often have we heard this cliché? There are many reasons given by employers as to why it is so difficult for them to recruit women into management positions, but on closer inspection, these reasons do not hold up.

We have put together the most common excuses in the Women in Management Cliché Bingo. This workshop identifies prejudices, provides facts about women in management positions, simulates exemplary situations and develops strategies on how to counter the clichés in everyday life.

FOR MEN ONLY
Tools for more inclusive leadership

Workshop, 2.5 to 4 hours

"Discrimination against women in the company is not something I have experienced."

This statement often conceals a genuine lack of awareness, because structural discrimination is primarily noticed by those who are affected by it: women. Yet one of the most important keys to greater equality rests with men; if they understand the effective mechanisms and their own role in the process, then they can contribute to change through simple means.

This workshop provides male managers with tools for sustainably establishing fair and inclusive coexistence in the team and in the company.
